Good Posture / Bad Posture – Weighing In On Structural Body Pain
What does my posture have to do with body pain?
Bad posture alone may not be the sole cause of your body aches and pains, but it is often a warning of more serious problems to come.
Smart phones, desktop and laptop computers have one thing in common besides the internet—they encourage us to stand or sit with our heads bent forward with shoulders slumped for prolonged periods of time. This creates fatigue on joints, ligaments and muscles and can lead to neurological damage such as numbness, tingling, or pain in the forearms and hands.
What can acupuncture do?
- Acupuncture can alleviate the pain and reduce inflammation associated with fatigued muscles and damaged nerves.
- Acupuncture can rebalance the body for better posture.

Natalie quickly helped me out of a terrible chronic pain situation. My pain had spread over many years from my head to the middle of my back and shoulders and seemed complicated to understand. After physical therapy, saline injections, prescription medication and previous acupuncture treatments failed to help I tried acupuncture with Natalie. She understands the musculoskeletal system very well and was able to unwind my pain, my muscles spasms and correct my posture.
Muscles spasms can pull on our bones and throw us out of alignment causing lot of chronic problems if left unaddressed. My headaches disappeared after 2 or 3 sessions. My neck muscle pain and nerve pain has reduced by abut 50% in only 5 sessions. My shoulders are sitting more evenly. I have more awareness of my posture and what created these problems to begin with. Natalie has restored my hope in the healing process once again and I look forward to having my body back soon with her help!
